Abstract

For many micro-pollutants effects and harmfulness at the prevailing low concentrations in aquatic environments are proven, yet many questions remain open. Freight modelling of micro-pollutants is used to determine the micro pollutant concentrations in surface waters. The work aims to derive differentiated, gauge specific reference outflows to manage compliance with applicable management rules, accounting ascertain compliance with EQS. The method presented in this work to derive the necessary reference outflows fills this technical gap.
