"Paths to sustainable water management and society"
From March 06 to March 08, 2024 Congress Center Essen
A particular hallmark of this three-day series of events is the breadth of the topics on offer, which range from perspective, environmental policy and legal developments to problems and technical innovations in water management.
Current and future-oriented topics are addressed by the organizers every year. Competent and renowned experts from science, politics and practice present the latest research results and developments in around 70 lectures.
Around 1,000 participants attend the conference every year, which has established itself as a meeting place for water management experts for over 50 years. Participants range from students and young professionals to experts with many years of experience.
The conference is accompanied by excursions that demonstrate modern environmental technology in practice.
In addition to the lectures, there will be a trade exhibition. In addition, the exhibiting companies will have the opportunity to present their products and services in a technology forum.
Two awards ceremonies are held each year as part of the event. These are the Oswald Schulze Prize and the IFWW Sponsorship Prize of the Institute for the Promotion of Water Quality and Water Quantity Management. In the "Young Scientists" forum, young scientists from the field of water management have the opportunity to present their master's and doctoral theses.
