As part of the "Water Supply 1" course, 20 Master's students had the opportunity to look at real application examples with the theoretical knowledge they had acquired in the lecture hall.

Mr. Huby from the Walloon Water Company (SWDE) led the tour enthusiastically and enabled the participants to follow the entire surface water treatment process. He explained the individual process steps and answered the questions of the interested students in detail. The practical relevance helped to improve the understanding of the basic processes of water treatment and to increase interest. One of the impressive highlights of the tour was the nanofiltration system.

We are particularly pleased that this specialist excursion to a water supplier could take place, as supplying the population with drinking water is a critical service that is subject to special protection. For many of the participants, it was also their first excursion during their studies and was therefore a special event. We thank Mr. Huby and the SWDE very much!
